"Lumen Images" Limited Edition Fine Art Print

Created using the Lumen Printing process, these images were achieved by arranging a combination of fresh leaves, flowers and printed negative images onto sheets of photographic paper, before exposing to strong, natural sunlight for up to five or six hours. Once exposure is complete, the objects are peeled away from the paper to reveal the print. The resulting colours and shapes are unpredictable and impossible to control - which makes the process all the more exciting for me! Once the print is made, it needs to be scanned and saved digitally, since the original is prone to fading and the colours will change once it is exposed to further UV rays.
