Part of a new collection of prints I have created using the cyanotype process. This process was discovered by John Herschel in the 1840s and is a way of creating "photographic" prints by hand. The prints are created by coating a surface with sensitiser and exposing to UV light for a period of time.  The print is then washed in clear water and the image appears as if by magic!  Once dry, the colour oxidises to the beautiful Prussian Blue which is characteristic of cyanotype prints.  All of the prints in my collection are made from photographs I have taken during my daily walks on National Trust-owned Rayleigh Mount, very close to my home here in the UK.  I hope you love them as much as I did, making them!
